I’m listening to Beth, the Glee version, and I started being all deep. So lately I’ve been thinking. What they say is true. Everyone said your friends from elementary school wouldn’t be your friends in middle school. I kept my best friends. They said the same thing about high school. I thought we’d stay friends, but it just does not happen. There’s no way. You grow apart and everyone changes - for the good, or for the bad. Lately I’ve been noticing it’s usually for the bad. It gets harder and harder to trust your old friends, and you start realizing that you spend less and less time together. They spend more time with their new best friend, and you spend more time with yours. But I guess that’s life? Everything happens for a reason, so if you’re not as close as you used to be, then there’s someone better who will make you laugh, won’t be judgmental, and understand you.
